Marrakech To Atlas Mountains 4-Day Trekking And Toubkal Climb Itinerary

  DAY 1: Marrakech – Imlil – Toubkal Shelter.

  Leave the city and move to the Atlas Mountains to spend four days ascending Mount Toubkal and visiting Berber villages. We will pick you up from your hotel or the airport in Marrakech, then take the route to Imlil, the popular trailhead for most treks in the high atlas mountains. On arrival, you will be welcomed by Our local guide and an experienced team who will support you on this 4-day Toubkal trek. After your final preparations, you’ll be ready to start your adventure. Make your way through Berber villages and into the Aroumd village via the Ait Mizane valley, then follow the route to Chamharouch. Head to Sidi Chamharouch, where the team will serve your first lunch on this atlas journey after two hours of uphill. Then continue walking toward the Toubkal refuge after lunch, where you’ll spend your first night.

  DAY 2: Toubkal Hut – Toubkal Summit – Toubkal Hut – Imlil.

  Today is the biggest day, wake-up up around 3:30 Am and get your breakfast before starting the climbing. The ascent is challenging in winter, but in the summertime, when the path is easy. Turn on your head torch and follow the path behind your experienced guide, who will take you to the highest peak in north Africa, MT. Toubkal 4167m above the sea level. From 3 to 4 hours, you will be on the summit of Toubkal, where you’ll enjoy the stunning view of the surrounding green valleys and the Berber villages visible to your eyes in each direction. Get a break and water to recover before heading back to the Toubkal hut to have lunch. After lunch, be ready to return to a guest house in Imlil, where you’ll spend the night in a comfortable room after a shower.

  DAY 3: Imlil – Tizi Mzik – Azzaden Valley (Berber Home Stay).

  Do you want to explore traditional villages in the Atlas Mountains? Get breakfast in Aroumd village by 10:00 am, then head to the Azzaden Valley to experience Berber culture. Walk with your guide to Tizi Mzik 2480 m. You will have lunch there at 1:30 pm before continuing downhill to an old village where you will spend the night at a Berber home. On the way, you’ll meet local inhabitants and learn about their lifestyle. You’ll also get a chance to see their houses, which are built using only wood, stones, and soil. In calm and silence before heading to the homestay, enjoy the panoramic view of the green valleys and the walking through the forest.

  DAY 4: Azzaden Valley – Tizi Oudid – Aguersioual – Marrakech.

  Today is the final day. Wake early and take your breakfast and then shoot photos of the traditional villages before heading to Aguersioual by starting uphill walking for 1 hour and a half. Take a water break and have some dates on Tizi Oudid pass, then continue hiking for 3 hours to the point where you will have lunch on the last day of this 4-day Toubkal trek and Berber homestay. After lunch, you will be taken back to Marrakech. Then, the entire 4-day Toubkal adventure will end, and you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport in Marrakech.
